Instead, the teams will play a straight doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 1:10 p.m. local time, which is when their series finale was originally scheduled. Game 2 will begin 30-45 minutes after the end of Game 1.
The pitching plans for Wednesday weren't immediately known. Tuesday's scheduled starters were Erick Fedde (6-3, 3.13 ERA) for Chicago against Minnesota's Bailey Ober (8-4, 4.12) in a battle of right-handers.
The Twins have won three straight games, including 8-6 in 11 innings in Monday's series opener against Chicago. The White Sox, owners of the worst record in baseball at 26-67, have dropped three in a row.
